GLAD TIDINGS CHURCH PRACTICING COMPLIANCE
Interesting times to say the least, yet also an opportunity for us to shine our lights. Glad Tidings Church in Hilo will be complying with Governor Ige's request that Church Services be canceled for 15 days. If longer is required we will continue to comply. The number one concern of our church is the safety and health of our community.
Matthew 5:16 NKJV Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
We do not want to add to our public officials workload during this time. Our support and prayers are with them all. We believe in doing so we are following biblical advice and wisdom applicable to the current situation.
We are asking our congregation, members and visitors to bear with this necessary inconvenience. To our new believers, our prayers are that God himself strengthen you during this time and ask you to keep up with our devotions and be encouraged in your faith.
For those who are more mature in the Lord. We all have been preparing for such a time as this. Our medical community, senior facilities, police, military, state and county employees and those working in the private sector are not without ministerial help. You who are Christians in their midst must rise to the occasion and be those ministers we cannot be when we are quarantined out of locations only you can be in. Dare to let your lights shine. Our combined faith in Christ will make all the difference.
We will be consistently posting devotions and gearing up to provide online messages to continue encouraging our congregation and community.
The fact of the matter is the church is never closed. It is the most mobile and diverse organization in the earth. Jesus lives in us and we are the church. Shine the light of Jesus Christ wherever you go and the lights of the church always stay on.
Our GT staff is monitoring our kupuna and their concerns during this time.
